How it usually works

Production is written on a sheet of paper taped to the machine

The week’s plan lives on a whiteboard; a rush order came in, and the whiteboard got wiped.

The customer sends the delivery schedule in a spreadsheet and someone retypes the dates — one wrong line turns into a penalty.

With the module

The shop floor logs its own work, with big buttons

  • Four taps and the log entry is open
  • Stopped? Log the reason
  • When closing, enter good parts and scrap
  • Production planning reads the real capacity
What the plant records

At the machine

  • Quick logging on a touchscreen, with big buttons
  • Full logging with date, time, good parts and scrap
  • Downtime logging with reason, start and end
  • Opening the order’s drawing by scanning a code on the shop floor

In planning

  • Load by machine and by employee, week by week
  • Splitting each item between making, buying, using stock or reworking
  • Delivery schedule imported from the customer’s file, without retyping
  • Daily delivery planning by customer

In analysis

  • Efficiency by employee, with your company’s target marked
  • Capacity utilization by machine group
  • Downtime by reason, in decimal hours
  • Nonconformances for the period by type of corrective action

FAQ

Type your question and press Enter: the answer opens right below, in the list.

My operator won’t use a computer.

He uses a tablet or kiosk with five big buttons, no side menu. The logging profile logs in and out straight on that screen — there’s nowhere else to navigate.

Will it take half an hour to log?

It’s four taps. The full form is still there for anyone who needs to enter date, time and quantities in detail, but it’s not the everyday path.

My capacity isn’t eight hours a day.

You fill in the number of days in the period yourself, precisely because every company counts working days its own way. The system doesn’t impose a formula.

My utilization came out at 9%. Is that wrong?

Almost always there is a machine registered without a real code — outsourced service, external treatment — adding capacity that doesn’t exist. The report says how many records were left out of the calculation and why.

I get a delivery schedule from my customer every month. Will I have to retype it?

No. You import the customer’s file or spreadsheet, and the grid merges instead of starting over: new dates come in, existing ones update, and whatever has already been invoiced is kept.

Does this handle preventive maintenance for the machines?

No. There is downtime logging with a reason, but preventive maintenance plans and orders are not part of the module today.
