The part record, on the manufacturing routing. A real system screen, with sample data. The screens are in Portuguese today. Scroll sideways to see the whole screen.
How it usually works
The part’s record is a folder of loose files
The drawing in one place, the cost in a spreadsheet, the tax code in an old email from the accountant.
Someone else registers the part again, with a different description — and now there are two identical parts.
With the module
One record, and it becomes the product
- The part comes in inheriting what was quoted
- Engineering fills in the rest
- Development has phases with dates
- Approving mirrors it into the product records
What the record holds
The tax and sales side
- Tax code, taxes and the part’s net value
- Thirteen invoicing operations: sale, return, shipment, sample, donation
- Price, payment terms, delivery lead time and commission
- Target margin next to the current margin
The technical side
- Diameter, length, width, thickness and weights
- Production routing with sequence, machine and time per part
- Parts per hour calculated, not typed in
- Quoted operations next to actual operations
Cost and proof
- Cost from four sources: raw material, outside processing, material and labor
- Development in sixteen phases, with planned and actual
- Spec sheet consolidated into one PDF, history included
- Automatic history, written in plain Portuguese, of everything that changed
